Dear God . . . I have a lot of fear when I think about death!
Oh Richard, sometimes I'm afraid, too. And when I am, it helps to run into the arms of my heavenly Father, just like you're doing. This is Wess Stafford, President of Compassion International. Most children fear death at one time or another — but for a child in poverty — it's all too real — every day. Children bear an inordinate amount of the burden of natural disasters — earthquakes, floods, famine, as well as school violence, street gangs, drugs. Jesus said, "Whatever you do for one of the least of these, you do for me." We all hope that "someone" will reach out with help and hope. Be that someone in the life of a child.
