Dear God . . . Why does my mother leave us alone to go to work?
This young boy is not only alone, there's no food and very little hope. This is Wess Stafford, President of Compassion International. To survive, children all over the world make money by begging, selling drugs and stealing from stores, even prostitution. You can see them in major cities under bridges, in dumpsters. My challenge to you today is to do something for that child who is a breath away from becoming a street kid. A child whose parents don't care or can't take care of him. One church opened a teen center. Every afternoon volunteers bring in snacks and games. Sometimes they just talk with the kids. You've got the skills … now make the time. This is Wess Stafford. Speak Up With Compassion for the children in your world.
