Dear God . . . Why are people born only to die?
I know it seems that way, little friend, but Jesus said "I am come that they might have life." Now, and not just for eternity, we can trust Him along the way. Each day is precious. This is Wess Stafford, President of Compassion International. One day the chief in the African village where I grew up as a missionary kid, was talking to all of us children. He said, "Today is God's gift. It is to be enjoyed and lived in to the fullest." As a child I found his perspective reassuring. If we're not attuned to God's divine rhythm, we miss the richness of today — as well as the potential of tomorrow.
