What was your family life like? I'm part of a family of six: my parents, my two brothers, my sister and me. My dad's name is Jose Feliz Ceron Navarro. My mom's name is Nancy Janeth Jerez Puga. The names of my siblings are Carlos Gabriel Ceron Puga (16), Kevin David Ceron Puga (14), and Mayerli Lisbeth Ceron Puga (7). Now I live with only my dad and my two brothers, because my parents are no longer together. My mom lives with my sister. My dad works as taxi driver and my mom sells shoes. Both of them used to support the family, but now it's just my dad, since I live with him.
Describe your childhood community environment: The environment of my community is peaceful and there's no conflict at all. Everybody gets along with their neighbors and friends.
What are some of your personal interests and passions? My interests are to get my engineering degree, learn the English Language, learn more about God at a seminary, and receive formal education in another country. Actually, this last one is one of my biggest dreams. My passions are to learn more about the Lord Jesus each day, to play sports, to go to the gym, to go to church every Sunday and to hang out with my friends.
What is your vision for your time in the Leadership Development Program? My vision is to receive academic and leadership training,. I want to be a good leader at church, use my knowledge to contribute with others and, most of all, serve God.
Tell us about your spiritual, physical and academic goals for the next few years: I will grow in knowledge of the Word of God and will live in communion with Him. I will keep myself in good health by eating well and doing exercise. I will pass every level of my studies without problems, and this means to study hard, acquire solid knowledge and get my degree.
Is there anything else you want to share? I want to learn more about how to share messages that can actually help people. I will share the Word of God with others, because I know God has a purpose for me.
How did you come to accept Christ as your personal Savior? After a Sunday sermon when I was 8 years old, the Lord touched my heart. That sensation is just not easy to explain. I just made the decision to let God work over my life, and it gave me so much peace.
What is God teaching you right now? He's teaching me that I can do all things with Him by my side and that nothing's impossible for God. A day of huge growth was the day when I decided to be baptized. It was wonderful and such an amazing sensation.
Describe the impact Compassion has had on your personal and spiritual development: God used Compassion to teach me. They supported me and lots of other children, but I can say that it's because of Compassion that I have no vices and I walk along the path of our Lord Jesus Christ.
How are you currently serving in your local church? I'm part of the church youth group and I help at the project as a tutor. I always offer myself to do anything at church.
Who has had the most influence on your life and why? The pastor of my church has had the most influence, because he's always supported and guided me and, most of all, has taught me about God and His Word. My parents are another big influence on my life, because they've been very supportive.
What challenges do you think you will face during your university experience? The challenge will be to do well with some classes that I'm not very familiar with, like chemistry and English. Besides, I must be a role model of honesty to all my classmates.
What are some of the problems in your community? There are no actual problems in my community and that's something good about it.
How do you plan to use your degree and leadership skills to address the problems in your community and advance the kingdom of God? Once I get my degree I will offer my services and the knowledge I acquired at the university to support the church. I will prepare young kids for the future and will offer my services in any area.
