Explain why you chose your course of study: It will help me to save many people, like helping people to prevent themselves from getting diseases and live a safe life. I need to prevent some environmental problems which occur in the world, like global warming and environmental pollution. It is a job which I will be comfortable with; therefore, it will build my ability to give back fruits which I get from education to the society, nation and world.

How did you come to accept Christ as your personal Savior? I was a Christian but not a born-again Christian. After being registered in Compassion ministry, my teachers taught me about the Word of God and the love of God and that Jesus Christ sacrificed His life and died for our sins in order for us to get everlasting life. Therefore I decided to be among the children of God who are in His great love. I received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of my life when I was 14 years old. I was baptized and up to date I am serving God.

Who has had the most influence on your life and why? It is my spiritual father, who encourages me to follow Jesus Christ. He also encourages me when I face challenges in life. This gives me new strength in serving God. It is also my pastor, who always teaches me about the Word of God and how should I behave as a youth who has Jesus Christ. He advises me how I should improve in serving God. My mother and relatives always have good plans for me and supported me to reach where I am. Others are my fellow church members and friends who pray for me and advise me how to live with different people in the society.

How has God used Compassion to form who you are today? Through Compassion I heard the Word of God, which is a seed that grows in my heart. This Word of God teaches me how to serve God, and to help other people in the society, also to obey God's rules and behave as a born-again Christian. This helps me to do good things in the society and helped me towards the success which I have today. I got economic support which helped me to get good education; this made a way to university. Compassion built my ability to be a good leader, because in our center we got the opportunity to lead others; this gives confidence and experience in leading. The health services I got made my body fit, with good health. Compassion also gave me an environment for studying.

What was your family life like? I come from a single-parent family. I live with my mother and young sister. They are Roman Catholic and I am Pentecostal. My mother works as a housemaid. The money which she gets helps our family to buy food, clothes, pay the rent and other needs. In my community I live with some people who know God and others who do not; therefore I face the challenge of not getting friends who know God, but this helps me to be strong in finding God. Many people in my community face the challenge of not getting their basic needs, because they are poor.

Describe the environment where you grew up: I live with people of different behaviors and religions in my community. I studied in different schools where I saw other students who did not reach their goals because of various problems like drug abuse, prostitution, poverty, ignorance and diseases. People in my community are suffering from a number of life challenges, like lack of balanced diet and not enough food, medical care, or education.

What are some of your favorite activities? I like singing, because it is the place where I serve God and get time to cooperate with other Christians. I like playing netball, because I get time to enjoy with my friends and it is doing physical exercise for building my body. I like to get private time for praying which will make me close to God. I like spending time with my friends, enjoying, advising and encouraging each other.

How are you currently serving in your local church or community? I serve by decorating the church and doing environmental cleanness. I participate with society members in different events of happiness and sadness.

Tell us some of your strengths or special achievements: I am able to lead others in groups. I received a leadership certificate when I was the secretary of the Christian fellowship group in Machame Girls’ Secondary School. I am able to advise my fellow youth, especially those who give up in doing the work of God. I received a bag and clothes from my center because of doing well in my studies. I also received a book from my Christian fellowship as a gift after passing a religious examination.

How do you hope to use your future career and leadership skills to be a servant leader and help your community, church and country? The knowledge from Leadership Development Program will help me to fear God in every place where I work, therefore I will work well and do right things to all people, especially those who live in difficult lives. I will transform the bad behaviors of other workers, like receiving corruption and providing unequal rights to people who are rich and others who are poor. I will teach people about the importance of keeping the environment clean for preventing diseases. I will convince people to change their ideas which will not lead them to a successful life economically, socially, physically and spiritually.

I will teach other Christians who are leaders about the knowledge of being God-fearing leaders.

Tell us about your goals for next year.

Spiritual: Growing up and getting new steps forward every day in knowing and serving God. Continuing to obey God's rules and regulations.

Physical: Having good health through doing exercises and eating a balanced diet.

Academic: Continuing to do well in my studies in order to get good results in my examinations.

Social/Emotional: Having good and meaningful relationships with other people in the society.

Servant Leadership: Reaching the society and starting to use the knowledge from Leadership Development Program in serving society.

Do you have a prayer request? Pray for my studies, in order to pass my examinations well. Pray for the thing that God put in my heart, in order to reach where God wants me to reach and serve God correctly. Pray for God to help my family economically and spiritually.
