A daily miracle — a look inside the rural life of a sponsored child in Mexico.

Take this visual tour to get a better sense of what life is like for a sponsored child who lives in a rural setting in Mexico. You'll learn how sponsorship helps children stay healthy, learn valuable skills and, most importantly, develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Aren't sure whether your child lives in a rural or urban setting? Visit "My Account" and click "Child Information." Under "Project Information," there is a description that tells you the nearest city to your child's community.

Map of Mexico

Nearly 10 percent of Mexico's 106 million people live on less than U.S.$1 a day. Children make up more than half of the country's population. But many of these children do not enjoy their childhood. Because of extreme poverty, about 3.5 million Mexican children ages 12 to 17 are in the workforce. These children often migrate from rural areas to cities — with or without their parents — to work. They must contend with family instability, lack of care and nurturing, and being alone. But because of support from sponsors like you, more than 14,000 Mexican children receive the love and attention they need by participating in 95 Compassion-assisted projects.
