Honduras Project - Rural

A daily miracle — a look inside the life of a sponsored child in rural Honduras.

Take this visual tour to get a better sense of what life looks like for a sponsored child who lives in rural Honduras. You'll learn how sponsorship helps children stay healthy, learn valuable skills and, most importantly, develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Aren't sure whether your child lives in a rural or urban setting? Visit "My Account" and click "Child Information." Under "Project Information," there is a description that tells you the nearest city to your child's community.

The Agape Student Center owns four sewing machines so small groups of girls can be trained together. Here, a group of older girls practice their skills in a sewing workshop. The girls come in on Saturdays for classes. They have been trained to make skirts, shirts and other clothing, and they will soon start making bed linens and curtains. The project helps other older children in their efforts to learn skills at local carpentry and mechanic shops.
