A daily miracle — a look inside the life of a sponsored child in rural Honduras.

Take this visual tour to get a better sense of what life looks like for a sponsored child who lives in rural Honduras. You'll learn how sponsorship helps children stay healthy, learn valuable skills and, most importantly, develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Aren't sure whether your child lives in a rural or urban setting? Visit "My Account" and click "Child Information." Under "Project Information," there is a description that tells you the nearest city to your child's community.

With a population of just over 7 million, nearly 25 percent of the Honduran populace lives on less than U.S.$1 a day. One of Honduras' major social problems has been teen involvement in violent gangs. One of the primary goals of Compassion projects in Honduras is to provide safe alternatives to the violence so many teens take part in. Compassion's work in Honduras began in 1974, and currently more than 26,000 children participate in more than 115 projects.
