A daily miracle — a look inside the life of a sponsored child in urban Haiti.

Take this visual tour to get a better sense of what life looks like for a sponsored child who lives in urban Haiti. You'll learn how sponsorship helps children stay healthy, learn valuable skills and, most importantly, develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Aren't sure whether your child lives in a rural or urban setting? Visit "My Account" and click "Child Information." Under "Project Information," there is a description that tells you the nearest city to your child's community.

map of Haiti

Haiti occupies one third of the Caribbean island of Hispaniola. A former French colony, it became the second independent country in the Americas when it declared its independence in 1804. However, in recent years political unrest and economic mismanagement have plagued the country. Haiti remains the least-developed country in the Western Hemisphere and one of the poorest in the world. Compassion now operates more than 200 projects in Haiti, serving more than 50,000 children.
