Then and Now - Bolivia

In 1997, Compassion initiated "It Works," a pilot project to document the progress of Compassion children in the countries where we work. We began in several countries, including Bolivia, to interview and photograph children and their families. Our goal was to obtain overviews of the children's current situations and return in five to seven years to follow up. Here are some of photos and the story of Ines Murga — both then and now:

At 15,000 feet in elevation, life on the Altiplano is difficult. But the family's love for one another prevails. Ines and her parents work together to get the chores done and make their lives as harmonious as possible.
