Ecuador Artist Tour

As partners with Compassion, a group of Christian artists and speakers already believed in the ministry's program to help children in poverty. But it wasn't until they traveled to Ecuador that their belief became faith fueled by passion. Journey with such artists as Denver Bierman, Ginny Owens and the groups Point of Grace and Seventh Day Slumber as they visit their sponsored children and tour Compassion's program.

Amy McRoberts shows an Ecuadorian girl a photo that she has taken. Although children in Compassion projects are often fascinated by the Western gadgets they see, they are affected much more deeply by the fact that their sponsors have traveled vast distances just to spend the day with them. The memories of the visit will be more vivid than any photo ever could portray.

While in Ecuador, Seventh Day Slumber's Joseph Rojas and Josh Schwartz were constantly surrounded by active boys, eager for attention. Having grown up in a broken home filled with drug abuse and violence, Joseph says, "It was so exciting to see that Compassion is turning around the lives of these boys and helping them avoid the kind of future that I spent years trying to escape."
