Ecuador Artist Tour

Although school is required for the children of Ecuador, many families in rural areas do not have access to education. Compassion's Christian child sponsorship program enables families to send their children to school, where teachers focus on much more than academics. The program also teaches children about health, hygiene, the Bible, and social skills — knowledge they will be able to take to their families and communities.

Meeting her sponsored child, Celia, was an emotional moment for Point of Grace member Leigh Cappillino. "I had no idea the real blessing was going to be for me," says Leigh. "What a joy and a privilege it was to meet Celia and her family, and to know my family and I are part of something so powerful — where little girls are getting an education and their families are getting the food and supplies they need to survive."
