Please pray for two Compassion-sponsored children — a 10-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl — in Bangladesh student centers who have both tested positive for hepatitis B.

Wednesday 3
Please pray for Patricia at the Escola de Ensino Fundamental Raio de Luz Student Center in Brazil. Her father recently passed away. Patricia is responsible for the children's letters.

Thursday 4
Pray for a speedy recovery for Haitian child Carolane Sandyse Monestime, 8, who had surgery for a badly twisted clubfoot.

Friday 5
Please pray for the family, friends and sponsor of Heyli Tamara Flores, 6, of El Salvador. Heyli died in May from an accidental injury.

Saturday 6
Pray for the 255 children from five Compassion-assisted child development centers in the Philippines whose homes were partially or totally destroyed by Typhoon Halong.

Pray that Compassion can continue to offer relief to children and their families hit hard by the global food crisis, especially those in Bangladesh and Haiti.

Please pray for L. Charumathi, 10, in India, whose mother died. Pray blessings of grace and wisdom for her father, too.

Pray for children sponsored through the Projeto Pao e Palavra Student Center near Fortaleza, Brazil, who are exposed to prostitution and drug deals daily.

Please pray for the mother of Tausi, 5, in Tanzania. She has a chronic heart condition and needs healing and comfort.

Pray that the parents of children in Kenya will be able to feed their families during this time of global food crisis.

Friday 12
Pray for the well-being of the families affected by the heavy rains and flooding in Burkina Faso. The rain is hindering efforts to rebuild the damaged homes of four Compassion-assisted families.

We praise God that 56 more children have been added to the Jyotipur Child Development Center in eastern India!

Pray for the family of 6-year-old Ethiopian unsponsored child, Dainel Demse, since he unexpectedly passed away.

Pray for the workers and children of the Ebenezer Child Development Center south of Raipur, India, where all of the classroom sheds have fallen due to heavy rains.

Pray for Bryan Pacheco, the brother of two registered children in the Siloe Student Center near San Salvador, El Salvador. Bryan suffers from leukemia.

Wednesday 17
Please pray for the Leadership Development Program students in Thailand as they prepare for mid-term exams.

Thursday 18
We praise God that plastic surgery was successfully completed on Pompa Das, 10, from the Mohandi Child Sponsorship Program in Bangladesh. She had burns on her face.

Pray for the many people affected by the fire that destroyed the huge market, Mercado Oriental, in Nicaragua. The merchants are poor people who lost all their goods.

Pray for provision and grace for the child development centers in El Salvador, which are starting agricultural activities in response to the food crisis.

Pray for Haitian girl Feloude Louis, 12, who is epileptic and has missed two years of school because of her illness.

Pray for Indian office staff member Mr. Hanson, whose 1-year-old son, Ben, is critically ill. Pray for strength and healing.

Pray for the health of Colombian teenager Veronica Berrio, who has cancer and is in need of God's touch.

Please pray for relief from the drought in the Vidarbha and Marathwada regions of Maharashtra, India, where many of the farmers have committed suicide.

We praise God for successful cranial surgery for a brain tumor on Yaldo, from the Trifena Student Center in eastern Indonesia.

Pray for continued healing for the mother of Edinson Paul Arévalo Chinga, 8, in Peru. She suffered second- and third-degree burns on her face and body earlier this summer when she fell with a pot of boiling water at her job.
