Pray for the people of the Dominican Republic where precious crops such as banana trees, corn, yucca and others were severely damaged by Tropical Storms Fay and Hanna and Hurricanes Gustav and Ike.
Friday 3
Pray for Barkha Kujur, 6, and her family, who must rebuild their home after it was destroyed by elephants in eastern India.
Saturday 4
Pray that the parents of 17-year-old Peruvian Jorge A Ahuanlla Maravi will allow him to get his birth certificate so he can be registered for university.

Pray that Compassion's partner churches in Uganda will continue to find ways to minister to AIDS orphans and their families.
Monday 6
Pray for the family and friends of Kasim Maliamung, a 5-year-old Ugandan boy who died in June of malaria.

Pray for Debendra Khilo and Balaram Bisoi, staff members at the Mukti Malaya Sishu Bikash Kendra Student Center in eastern India, who are suffering from chest pain.
Wednesday 8
Pray for safety and shelter for those children and their families who have lost their homes during the rainy season in Burkina Faso.
Thursday 9
Pray for a sponsored 7-year-old eastern Indonesian girl who was raped and needs physical and emotional healing.
Friday 10
Please pray for those in Haiti who have lost homes and possessions due to Tropical Storms Fay and Hanna and Hurricane Gustav and Ike. Homes of children from at least 45 child development centers were damaged or destroyed.

Pray for Indian boy Anandhu Surendran, 8, who had surgery to repair a hole inside his ear. Pray for comfort and rapid healing.

Pray for the children and families affected by the Mindanao conflict between Muslim separatists and military groups in the Philippines. Thousands of people have been displaced by recent fighting.

Pray for the mother of 7-year-old Peruvian boy Luis Brajhan Ramos Aguirre, who had a miscarriage and needs physical and emotional healing.
Thursday 16
Pray that the Lord will help provide highly vulnerable children in Ethiopia with food, guidance and protection, especially during the global food crisis.

Pray for the families of 50 Indian children at the CPS Child Development Center in Allahabad who have lost their houses due to a court-ordered demolition.

Pray for the Compassion El Salvador building project — that costs will stay low and the quality of the work will be excellent. Pray also for the safety of the workers.
