We praise God for His protection of the children, families and church partners in Wamena, eastern Indonesia, where tribal fighting had broken out!  

Monday 2
Please pray for Ruth Besigye, a Program Communications Specialist in Rwanda, who has been sick for nearly two months. Pray for her total healing.  

Tuesday 3
Pray for Kevin Alejandro Alvaro, 5, in Peru, whose father left the family and offers no financial help, leaving Kevin and his siblings to sleep on the floor.

Wednesday 4
Pray for Agnesius Hasdak, 8, in Bangladesh, who suffers from encephalitis.

Thursday 5
Pray for Elizabeth Habihile, 10, in Uganda, who is seriously ill with cholera.

Friday 6
Please pray for the pastors, their families and their churches in dangerous and violent areas in El Salvador, for strength and wisdom to face the situation.

Saturday 7
Please continue to intercede for our brothers and sisters in the Philippines who were affected by typhoons Ketsana and Parma. Pray for strength, courage, perseverance and hope. Pray also that God's presence will be strongly felt amid the loss and devastation.

Pray for Rachel Uwimbabazi in Rwanda who has rheumatic heart disease and needs healing.

Monday 9
Please continue to pray for Cheryl in eastern Indonesia who was a victim of violence several months ago. She is still very frightened, especially since the perpetrator was recently released from prison.  

Tuesday 10
Pray for Maria de los Angeles Tooth Osorio, 11, in Peru, whose mother recently died of cancer. Pray for comfort and peace.

Wednesday 11
Please pray for Nirodh Dhonowar, 9, in Bangladesh, who has a kidney ailment and needs healing.

Thursday 12
Pray for Ruth, a registered child in Nicaragua, who needs several reconstructive surgeries, but they have been difficult to carry out because she is malnourished.

Friday 13
Pray for eastern Indian children Christy and Simon, who are suffering from tuberculosis, and Thomas Bamade, who has epilepsy.

Saturday 14
Please call upon the Lord for provision for all Compassion-assisted children and families in Burkina Faso whose homes and belongings were destroyed by flooding.

WEEK 3

We praise God that no Compassion-assisted children or their families were affected by the recent earthquake in Indonesia. Pray for God's comfort for those who lost loved ones and face tremendous devastation.

Monday 16
Pray for the mother of Diana Cavero Saldiva, 14, in Peru, who has stage 2 breast cancer.

Tuesday 17
Please continue to pray for our brothers and sisters in Honduras who are affected by the political unrest that forced several centers to suspend activities.

Wednesday 18
Pray for Sangani Supriya, 12, in India, who had surgery for kidney stones. Pray for her speedy recovery.

Thursday 19
Pray for Akumu Beatrice, 14, after the loss of her caregiver due to the cholera outbreak in Uganda.

Friday 20
Pray for the Central American office as staff members implement a new stage of curriculum design for 12- to 18-year-olds. Pray also for effective curriculum implementation for the 3- to 11-year-olds.

Saturday 21
Pray for two eastern Indian children, Markus Malto, who has a kidney problem, and Prakash Malto, who has tuberculosis.

Sunday 22
Pray for Mulindangabo Emmanuel, 12, in Rwanda who has abnormal swelling. Please pray that doctors discover the cause and prescribe the right treatment.

Monday 23
Please pray for three new Child Survival Programs opening in Palawan and Cebu in the Philippines. Pray for smooth preparations and success.

Tuesday 24
Praise God and rejoice for the first Leadership Development Program student in Indonesia to graduate! Dwi Suryaningsih, 24, will graduate cum laude from university today.

Wednesday 25
Pray for the violent situation in El Salvador and in Latin America, for the youth involved in gangs, and for the children and families living in areas affected by it.

Thursday 26
Pray for the family of Sujata, a tutor at the Baramchal Child Sponsorship Program in Bangladesh, who passed away due to a kidney infection.

Friday 27
Pray for God's protection of the children and staff from the 23 child development centers in the districts of Mukono, Masaka and Kayunga, Uganda, where riots have affected their safety.

Saturday 28
Please pray for the Compassion children and their families whose homes and belongings were destroyed by flooding from heavy rains in Andra, India. Pray that God would keep them safe and be their provider as they recover.
