Tuesday 1   Happy New Year to all our prayer partners and families. May God's strength and blessings fill your lives during the coming year as you keep your eyes on Him.

Wednesday 2  Several Compassion-assisted children in Peru have been adversely affected by the separation of their parents. Pray for God's intervention in their young lives and for the reconciliation of the parents.

Thursday 3  Continue to pray for the families of 340 Compassion-assisted children in Mexico as they rebuild and restore their homes from the effects of flooding in November due to heavy rains.                                                  

Friday 4   Pray for 6-year-old Sathi Biswas and her family in Bangladesh as they mourn the loss of her father during the cyclone that struck on Nov. 15.

Saturday 5   Sixteen-year-old Cinthya Elyzabeth Bazan Mendoza in Peru is grieving the death of her mother from cancer. She needs prayer for comfort and for her dependence on God.

Sunday 6   Pray for the pastors in churches around the world to be filled with God's power as they preach His Word today to generations that need Jesus desperately.

Monday 7   Seven-year-old Sair Esteban Cholan Amaya in Peru suffered from respiratory problems and was diagnosed with asthma. Pray for successful treatment.

Tuesday 8   Pray for the staff and volunteers of the urban ministry based in Denver, YouthPartnersNET, as they reach out to children and youth with the message of the gospel.

Wednesday  9   Pray for the families of Compassion-assisted children in Haiti who suffered losses in tropical storm Noel in November, and are rebuilding their homes.

Thursday 10   Pray for 16-year-old Ruth Albirena Alarcom in Peru. Her home was damaged in the August earthquake and she is living with her aunt. She also is in treatment for kidney pain.

Friday 11   Pray for Compassion staff in Burkina Faso as they extend ministry to rural areas. They need God's wisdom.

Saturday 12   Pray for the families of Compassion-assisted children in the Philippines as they rebuild their homes from damages caused by the typhoons in November.

Sunday 13   We praise God for the recent salvation of 10-year-old Liton Karmaker in Bangladesh and his family. They now all attend church regularly.

Monday 14   Pray for 7-year-old Edison Manuel Palacios Sernaque in Peru as he recovers from severe dog bites on his face and eyes. He is receiving medical treatment as he awaits surgery scheduled in March.

Tuesday 15   Eight-year-old Marviano Lolowang in Indonesia struggles with scoliosis, and his parents refuse medical attention to correct it. Pray for them to change their minds and agree to surgery for the child.

Wednesday 16 Pray for 7-year-old Riya Dolai in eastern India as she grieves the death of her father.

Thursday 17   Pray for 10-year-old Darwin Chavezta Chanduvi in Peru to recover from severe pulmonary hypertension and heart failure. He must travel to the city for medical treatments and this is a hardship for his family.

Friday 18   Pray for the parents of children in Burkina Faso who want to take their children out of the Compassion Child Development Centers because of religious differences. Ask God for His intervention.

Saturday 19   Pray for the healing of 6-year-old Migel Allow Yoku in Indonesia. He was hit by a motorcycle, which caused brain injuries.

Sunday 20   We praise God with Compassion's eastern India staff that 10-year-old Piyas Naiya's surgery was successful. Pray for his increased physical strength.

Monday 21   Pray for 16-year-old Valeria Ascencio Reano in Peru as she grieves the death of her mother after surgery. Her older sister now provides for her.

Tuesday 22   Pray again for 9-year-old Michael Odhiambo Oyier in Kenya to recover well from serious problems related to sickle cell anemia.

Wednesday 23   Pray for God's protection of Compassion-assisted children around the world. Five children in Tanzania died in recent weeks from ailments such as malaria, tonsillitis, heart disease and an accidental drowning in a pond.

Thursday 24   Pray also for Compassion-assisted children who cope with AIDS in their families or themselves. They need God's mercy. 

Friday 25   Pray for two children in Peru: 8-year-old Veronica and 6-year-old Diego. Their father fell from a roof and died while at work, and compensation is being denied because he had been drinking alcohol. Pray for God's provision for the mother and her children.

Saturday 26   Continue to pray for 10-year-old Abijuru Beni in Rwanda in his recovery from heart surgery and for good results in the follow ups with the pediatric cardiologist and medical staff.

Sunday 27   Eleven-year-old Frank Isique Algueda in Peru won a soccer scholarship. He must pass exams and be evaluated and needs prayer to succeed. Pray for God's will in this child's life.

Monday 28   Pray for Haydee in Peru who is struggling with depression. Her mother died almost a year ago and Haydee is in the care of a guardian who is unkind to her. Our country staff members are monitoring the situation.

Tuesday 29   Pray for two children in eastern India who suffer from chest pain: Master Dakendra and Holika.

Wednesday 30   Pray for God's provision in Bangladesh as families recover from the cyclone that struck in November. Many families lost homes and crops. Through donations Compassion is providing food and necessities.

Thursday 31   Let's pray for one another today, our families, friends, churches, schools and everyone we meet that we may be reflections of Jesus and His love.
