Compassion is blessed with a Prayer Ministry department that began in 1995 under the leadership of the Rev. Ken Stafford, the father of our current president, Dr. Wess Stafford.
The Rev. Stafford's tender and compassionate heart for children in poverty and for sponsors in our nation who struggled with stressful situations set the tone for a powerful ministry that reaches thousands of people around the world.
Although the Rev. Stafford went to be with Jesus in June 2003, his influence remains strong in Compassion.
