Every 7 seconds a child dies from hunger-related causes. And the current global food crisis is forcing millions of additional children and families in the developing world to face the grim reality of this statistic. Compassion currently works with more than 4,600 church partners in the developing world. These partners are responding to the global food crisis with the love of Jesus Christ by providing food to children and their families. The churches, children and families desperately need your help.

How your church can participate in an "Offering of Compassion":

Four easy steps:

1. Download the Offering of Compassion video and share the video with your congregation. 
2. Take up a special offering at your church to help fight the global food crisis.
3. On the check's memo line, write "Global Food Crisis." 
4. Send your church's gift, accompanied by this downloadable donation form, to:

Your Gift in Action: 

Although costs and assistance vary by region, an average gift of:

• $13 helps a child for one month
• $520 helps 40 children for one month
• $3,250 helps 250 children for one month

Your congregation's gift will help Compassion's church partners with the following:

• Assessment of all Compassion-assisted children for malnourishment who are under the age of 10
• Distribution of nutritional supplements or food to all those who test at a malnourished level or who are at risk of becoming malnourished
• Offer classes on cooking techniques and ideas to pass on to their communities for long-term impact
