Fighting between Muslim separatists and military groups in the Mindanao region of the Philippines has caused a number of deaths as well as the displacement of more than 150,000 people.

There are 11 Compassion-assisted child development centers in the area, but thankfully thus far only one project has been affected by the fighting.

• PH-668 has stopped regular project activities until peace can be restored in the area.
• The children from PH-668 and their families are currently staying at evacuation centers set up at local schools.

Pray for the safety of the children and their families who have been displaced.

Pray also for the safety of the Philippines staff as they travel and gather information. Please ask God to bring resolution between the fighting groups and restore peace to the area.
