Compassion-sponsored children have access to education, medical care, nutritious food and knowledge of the love of Jesus. They have been so blessed that many of them pray for their sponsors every day.Yet the children need prayer, too.

The following are prayer requests from the Tanzania Country Office about the children, families, church partners and staff in Tanzania:

• Please pray for the Lord to provide abundantly for children and families in need of good nutrition. There has been a lack of rain over the past two years. Pray He will bring rain for a good harvest.
• Please pray for children who have low self-esteem because of poverty or their family's situation. Pray they will find their worth and acceptance in the Lord.
• Pray for the children who have lost loved ones or parents due to AIDS. Pray they will find love and acceptance from Compassion staff and leaders.
• Please pray for the Compassion-assisted child development centers located in areas dominated by Islam. Pray that they will be protected by the Lord.
