UPDATE: July 30, 2009 - The Public Health Ministry in Thailand has confirmed more than 8,500 cases of the H1N1 virus and 65 deaths.
Two Compassion-assisted children are being treated after showing symptoms of the H1N1 virus.
The child development center with the affected children is temporarily closed for one week, during which it will be cleaned.
Please pray for God's protection and healing over our children, staff and families in Thailand. Pray that staff at the Compassion centers will know best how to keep the children safe and healthy.

July 17, 2009 - The Public Health Ministry in Thailand has confirmed more than 2,500 cases of the H1N1 virus.
While some Compassion-assisted child development centers are in the affected region, no Compassion children have contracted the virus.
Two child development centers in Bangkok are temporarily closed for one week.
When those centers reopen, a nurse will educate the registered children about virus prevention.
