Compassion-sponsored children have access to education, medical care, nutritious food and knowledge of the love of Jesus. They have been so blessed that many of them pray for their sponsors every day. Yet the children need prayer, too.

The following are prayer requests from the Philippines Country Office about the children, families, church partners and staff in the Philippines.

• Please pray for the Lord's protection over the children and families affected by the two recent storms, Typhoon Ketsana and Typhoon Parma. Pray the Lord will watch over and provide for those who have been misplaced.
• Please pray for families who lost loved ones in the recent ferry that sank in the southern Philippines. Pray they will seek the Lord and rely on His love in this time.
• Please pray for the Leadership Development Program students, that the Lord would bless them in their studies and give them passion for the future He has for them.
• Pray for the government to rule wisely, fairly and compassionately and for the country to enjoy renewed stability.
• Pray for the Philippine children whose parents must leave the country to find work.
