Compassion-sponsored children have access to educational opportunities, medical care, nutritious food and knowledge of the love of Jesus. They have been so blessed that many of them pray for their sponsors every day. Yet the children need prayer, too.

The following are prayer requests from the Peru Country Office about the children, families, church partners and staff in Peru:

• Please pray for the many children in Peru who have lost their fathers. Pray for the Lord to supply them with an abundance of peace, and may He bring strong Christian leaders into their lives to help them through this time.
• Please pray for the children and families who are being removed from their homes by the government because they are taking back land. Ask for the Lord to graciously provide places for them to stay permanently so they can have a home again.
• Pray for parents struggling to provide for their children, even while working multiple jobs. Pray that sponsorship will continue to be a blessing to these families.
• Pray that Compassion-assisted children will defeat the lies of poverty — that they will seek out a hope-filled future.
• Pray that Compassion-assisted centers will continue to find ways to offer vocational training to registered children.
