Compassion-sponsored children have access to educational opportunities, medical care, nutritious food and knowledge of the love of Jesus. The children have been so blessed that many of them pray for their sponsors every day. Yet the children need prayers, too.

The following are prayer requests from the Mexico Country Office about the children, families, church partners and staff in Mexico:

• Pray for the single mothers who have to educate and raise children by themselves. Pray for their homes to become refuges for children and not dangerous places.
• Pray for the country office staff, for wisdom and strength as well as for protection and discernment. Pray for them to have a clean heart to serve these churches and for God's direction in every step.
• Pray for the health and well-being of the Compassion children and families in southeastern Mexico as heavy rains continue to fall in the area.
• Pray for the families of the children who do not trust the Lord yet. Pray that they may come to know Jesus through the Church's love for the children.
• Pray that the children assisted by Compassion will be discipled by church leaders.
