Compassion-sponsored children have access to educational opportunities, medical care, nutritious food and knowledge of the love of Jesus. The children have been so blessed that many of them pray for their sponsors every day. Yet the children need prayer, too.

The following are prayer requests from the Kenya Country Office about the children, families, church partners and staff in Kenya:

• Pray that Compassion can continue to train parents to learn skills that will provide financial stability for their homes and safety for their children.
• Please continue to pray for the peace in Kenya that resulted from the power-sharing agreement. Pray for the Lord's intervention and guidance for the leaders.
• Pray for the health of the children. Pray that the Lord would protect them from diseases such as typhoid, measles and malaria.
• Pray that communities cherish one another, that the interests of children are placed ahead of personal differences.
• Pray that God provides for the needs of the people displayed by the political violence, and that He guards the hearts and minds of the children who were affected by and witnessed to the violence.
