Compassion-sponsored children have access to educational opportunities, medical care, nutritious food and knowledge of the love of Jesus. The children have been so blessed that many of them pray for their sponsors every day. Yet the children need prayer, too.

The following are prayer requests from the Kenya Country Office about the children, families, church partners and staff in Kenya:

• Please pray for the children who have witnessed violence and other cruelties experienced in poverty. Ask for the Lord to protect their minds and hearts so that they do not give in to despair but that they would come to understand the love the Lord has for them.
• Please pray that communities will come together to look after the needs of the children and those in desperation. Pray for truth and justice to reign in their hearts.
• Pray that Compassion can continue to train parents to learn skills that will provide financial stability for their homes and safety for their children.
• Pray for the health of the children. Pray that the Lord would protect them from diseases such as typhoid, measles and malaria.
