Pacto con Dios Student Center (HO-318) was the only Compassion-assisted child development center affected when Hurricane Felix reached land. The storm brought heavy rain, strong winds and the threat of flooding, but no casualties among Compassion-assisted children or families. No major damage to children's homes was reported.
Forty children were taken to a shelter as a preventive measure due to the threat of flooding from a nearby river. They will be returning to their homes soon. The river has receded, and the situation is now stable.
Affected families have been provided mattresses, canned food and water, medicine and blankets.
Please continue to pray for the Compassion staff, children and families affected by Hurricane Felix.
