Update: Tropical Storm Noel in Haiti
Print  Send this to a friend

As the floodwaters begin to recede, Compassion Haiti staff will soon be able to reach the more remote child development centers, inaccessible thus far, to begin the process of assessing recovery needs.

Centers in southern Haiti were the hardest hit by the heavy rains brought by Tropical Storm Noel, but the centers will be able to resume normal activities this week.

Child development centers in the south and northwest report that many Compassion-assisted families' homes were destroyed.

Additional affected centers include:

  • Tête L'île Child Development Center (HA-108)
  • Anse-à-Foleur Child Development Center (HA-114)
  • Port-de-Paix Child Development Center (HA-332)
  • Beraca Child Development Center (HA-333)
  • Morne Chaud Child Development Center (HA-760)
  • Chalon Child Development Center (HA-789)

Please pray for the safety and provision of Compassion staff, families, and children in Haiti as hurricane season continues through the end of November.

Compassion Haiti will provide additional updates as more information becomes available, and Compassion International will contact you if your sponsored child has been affected.
