Compassion-sponsored children have access to education, medical care, nutritious food and knowledge of the love of Jesus. They have been so blessed that many of them pray for their sponsors every day. Yet the children need prayer, too.

The following are prayer requests from the Ethiopia Country Office about the children, families, church partners and staff in Ethiopia:

• Please pray for the Lord to bless the children as they make friends at the child development center. May strong friendships be built, friendships of love and encouragement.
• Please pray for renewed commitment and vision for child development staff as they serve the children. May the Lord increase their passion and supply them with stregnth.
• Pray for the children who are dropping out of school and getting jobs to help support their family. Pray the Lord will provide the opportunity and support for children to stay in school.
• Please pray for the children who have been orphaned because of the AIDS pandemic. Pray they will experience the nearness and love of the Lord and that they will be well provided for.
