Compassion-sponsored children have access to education, medical care, nutritious food and knowledge of the love of Jesus. They have been so blessed that many of them pray for their sponsors every day. Yet the children need prayer, too.

The following are prayer requests from the Ethiopia Country Office about the children, families, church partners and staff in Ethiopia:

• Pray that children will be rescued from child labor and able to enroll in school through the help of Compassion.
• Pray for the children who need physical healing.
• May God guide the government leaders to act wisely and to implement the best solutions for the problems affecting the children of Ethiopia.
• Pray that the children of Ethiopia will no longer believe the lies of poverty — lies that tell them they will never amount to anything.
• Pray for more advocacy action for children's rights so all the population might understand and respect the integrity of each child.
• May the good seed that is being planted by Compassion be multiplied in the communities and create solid, Christian citizens.
• Pray for the Compassion staff in Ethiopia, that they will be mentors and friends to the registered children.
• Pray that Compassion's partner churches will have the vision to reach children in poverty across Ethiopia.
