Compassion-sponsored children have access to education, medical care, nutritious food and knowledge of the love of Jesus. They have been so blessed that many of them pray for their sponsors every day. Yet the children need prayer, too.

The following are prayer requests from the El Salvador Country Office about the children, families, church partners and staff in El Salvador:

• Please pray for the many children and families affected by Hurricane Ida. Pray for the Lord to provide for the needs of the people and to bring peace into their hearts as they begin to recover.
• Please pray for all those involved in the new Child Survival Program centers that have recently opened. May the Lord use the staff to be a light of hope to mothers in despair.
• Please pray for staff and pastors as they implement income-generating activities to secure more food for children and families. Pray for the favor of the Lord to be over their efforts.
• Please pray for our children, for the safety of those who live in violent areas, for their health, and their physical, intellectual and spiritual development.
