• El Salvador has been hit with heavy rains for the past week.
• Several child development centers in the San Salvador area are at risk for mudslides and flooding.
• A bus belonging to one of our church partners was carrying 30 people when it was dragged into the river. Tragically 29 people perished; praise God that no Compassion-assisted children were on the bus.
• Currently, three church partners – Candelaria Student Center (ES-702), Salim Student Center (ES-738) and CONFAD (ES-778) – have children affected by the flooding.

Compassion El Salvador staff are working with other church partners in the flooded region to verify the safety of all the children and will provide updates as more information becomes available.

Please join us in thanking God for protecting Compassion-assisted children from the bus accident.

Pray for those families who have lost homes or belongings from the flooding and also for the staff as they continue to visit our church partners to gather information.
