Compassion-sponsored children have access to education, medical care, nutritious food and knowledge of the love of Jesus. They have been so blessed that many of them pray for their sponsors every day. Yet the children need prayer, too.

The following are prayer requests from the Ecuador Country Office about the children, families, church partners and staff in Ecuador:

• The rainy season has produced floods in the coastal regions of the country. Houses have been flooded and diseases such as rotavirus and dengue fever are affecting the children. 
  • Pray for the wisdom of the country office staff as they administer the Complementary Intervention funding to help the children and families.
  • Pray for the emotional recovery of families all over the coastal region, especially for those who lost their houses and belongings.
• Pray for the health and well-being of the people living in Chimborazo Province where bubonic plague has been detected.
• Pray for the wisdom of our church partners and country staff so they help the affected children and families in the best ways possible.
• Pray for the Ecuadorian people so they may recognize Jesus and accept Him as their personal Savior. 
• Praise God for the recovery and health of the many children who were sick during the winter.
