Compassion-sponsored children have access to educational opportunities, medical care, nutritious food and knowledge of the love of Jesus. They have been so blessed that many of them pray for their sponsors every day. Yet the children need prayer, too.

The following are prayer requests from the Colombia Country Office about the children, families, church partners and staff in Colombia:

• Pray for children whose parents are not believers of Jesus. May the joy and hope of the children encourage their parents to know Jesus.
• Please pray for the Lord's peace to powerfully surround and fill the hearts of children dealing with the loss of loved ones. Pray they will turn to the Lord for comfort.
• Pray that the lessons children learn at Compassion-assisted child development centers will result in fruit as the Lord encourages children and gives them dreams for their future.
• Please pray for the Lord's provision. Ask Him to minimize the impact of the economic crisis on children, families and on the child development centers. May they witness the kindness and greatness of the Lord during this time.
