Compassion-sponsored children have access to education, medical care, nutritious food and knowledge of the love of Jesus. They have been so blessed that many of them pray for their sponsors every day. Yet the children need prayer, too.

The following are prayer requests from the Brazil Country Office about the children, families, church partners and staff in Brazil:

• Pray for the children and families living in and around Rio de Janeiro. Pray for their health as the area fights a dengue fever outbreak in the wake of intense rains and flooding.
• Pray for children who have been abandoned and abused by their families in Brazil. Remember the project staff in your prayers as they minister to these hurting children.
• Pray that Compassion sponsors will recognize the importance and blessing of writing letters to their sponsored children and will write regularly.
