Compassion-sponsored children have access to education, medical care, nutritious food and knowledge of the love of Jesus. They have been so blessed that many of them pray for their sponsors every day. Yet the children need prayer, too.

The following are prayer requests from the Bolivia Country Office about the children, families, church partners and staff in Bolivia:

• Please pray for children and families who have lost homes due to the recent landslide. Pray for the Lord's provision as the government and Compassion works to relocate people and provide relief.
• Please pray for the children who have been abandoned by their parents. Pray they will be taken in by loving relatives or family friends and that the Lord will heal their wounds and fill their hearts with His love and acceptance of them.
• Please pray for protection of children and families as cases of the H1N1 virus have been reported in Bolivia. Pray for the Lord to grant wisdom to Compassion staff as they monitor the children and work to prevent the spread of the disease.
• Pray for the strength of the children as they mature in their faith and teach their families about Jesus.
• Pray for the health of children living in homes with no running water or adequate sanitation.
