LETTER WRITING
If you're writing a Christmas card to your child in Ecuador, here are some things to remember:
- Christmas is celebrated in Ecuadorians' homes and shared with families and neighbors. They serve special foods such as chocolate cake, baked or stuffed chicken, a special Christmas bread and chocolate milk. Only people with a good economic status are able to serve turkey.
- Streets, homes and businesses are decorated with garlands and lights. Many people set out manger scenes or decorate trees with lights and stars. Each house door is decorated with a Christmas crown.
