Meet One Sponsor in a Million

Jang Mi-Ran is a strong South Korean woman. She won a gold medal in weightlifting at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Her strong faith helped her overcome many obstacles. And her strong love led her to Fellow Kpodo.

"It is my honor to sponsor the millionth child of Compassion," she says. "This moment makes me forget every difficult moment of my life."

Shy and self-conscious, Jang flexed a new set of muscles in middle school.

"Since I concentrated on weightlifting, I started to depend on God. His Word inspired me in new ways.

"Now I feel God is with me, not only when I do well at weightlifting, but also when I do badly."

She smiles. "I sometimes even feel that God lifts the barbell with me."

Her hopes for Fellow? "I want him to grow well in God as he learns about the Lord, so he can dream what God wants him to be."

With Jang in his corner, Fellow has a strong example of how faith and love can change a life forever.
