Kalekwa makes her home with her mother. Carrying water, helping in the kitchen and running errands are her household duties. Her mother is sometimes employed as a farmer. There are 3 children in the family.

As part of Compassion's ministry, Kalekwa participates in church activities and Bible class. She is also in primary school where her performance is average. Ping pong, singing and playing house are her favorite activities.
