The regional diet consists of plantains, chicken, maize, rice, beef and mutton. Common health problems in this area include filariasis (parasitic disease) and fluorosis (enamel decay). Most adults in Kesamudram work as day laborers and earn the equivalent of $53 per month. This community needs awareness on the importance of education and employment opportunities.
