Dokka lives with his father and his mother. He is responsible for carrying water, buying or selling in the market and cleaning. His father is sometimes employed as a laborer and his mother maintains the home. There are 3 children in the family.
For fun, Dokka enjoys walking, playing ball games and listening to music. He attends Bible class and camp regularly and is in vocational training where his performance is average.

Dokka lives in the coastal community of Annavaram Village, home to approximately 19,600 residents. Typical houses are constructed of cement floors, brick walls and thatched roofs. The primary ethnic group is Koya and the most commonly spoken languages are Koya and Telungu.
The regional diet consists of beans, bananas, chicken, fish, beef, rice, goat and potatoes. Common health problems in this area include fevers, coughs, viral infections, tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS. Most adults are unemployed but some work as day laborers and earn the equivalent of $46 per month. This community needs proper sanitation, computer training and vocational training centers.
Your sponsorship allows the staff of Annavaram Child Development Center to provide Dokka with Bible teaching, medical checkups, health education, hygiene supplies, field trips, tutoring, computer classes and music and drawing courses. The center staff will also provide spiritual retreats, health education, traffic rules and regulations awareness programs and adult literacy classes for the parents or guardians of Dokka.
