In his home, Santhosh helps by buying or selling in the market and running errands. He lives with his father and his mother. His father is sometimes employed as a laborer and his mother maintains the home. There are 2 children in the family.
For fun, Santhosh enjoys walking, running and playing group games. He attends church activities, Bible class and Vacation Bible School regularly and is in kindergarten where his performance is average.

Santhosh lives in the coastal community of Gudivada, home to approximately 13,600 residents. Typical houses are constructed of dirt, stone or cement floors; brick walls; and thatched, cement or asbestos cement roofs.
The regional diet consists of chicken, beef, fish, potatoes, beans, rice, bananas and goat. Common health problems in this area include malaria, typhoid and viral infections. Most adults in Gudivada are unemployed but some work as agricultural laborers and earn the equivalent of $80 per month. This community has water and electricity but needs scholastic materials, employment opportunities and alcohol abuse prevention programs.
Your sponsorship allows the staff of Navajeevan Child Development Center to provide Santhosh with Bible teaching, nutritious meals, medical checkups, games, tuition, field trips, music, computer, English and grammar classes and clothes. The center staff will also provide meetings and skills training for the parents or guardians of Santhosh.
