Joe Castillo graduated from Asbury Seminary. His profound love of teaching Scripture inspired him to illustrate what he was learning in a new way.
His illustrations are attempts to present the Bible in an intricate story-form that grows out of the biblical passages.
Joe has teamed up with his wife and capable partner, Cindy, to help people in a rapidly changing and impersonal world. Using his unique artwork, Joe and Cindy are helping many to "seek the Lord and His strength, seeking His face continually."
For a number of years Joe has been presenting Illustrated messages — art sermons that involve creating a four-foot by eight-foot mural while teaching from a passage of Scripture.
Joe uses the combination of eyes and ears to create a double impact and more involvement from the audience — which has turned out to be an effective vehicle for communicating God's Word. It is his prayer that audiences will grow in understanding of God's Word through his artwork.
