Register Your Event

Once you’ve decided to host and chosen a date, register your event. The official date is April 26, 2026, but you can choose any date that works for your church. After you’ve registered, we’ll mail your Event Kit, which includes all the things you’ll need to host!

In Hamilton, Massachusetts, a group of fifth graders hosted a Compassion Sunday event. Their class has supported Christian, a boy in Uganda, since 2017, and they wanted to encourage their church to empower even more children to overcome poverty.

Before You Register

Everything you need to know before you say yes to hosting.

Compassion Sunday is an event hosted during a Sunday morning service at your church where sponsors share about their sponsorship journey to encourage others to sponsor. The event can be a short announcement or a 5-10 minute presentation. The host will set up a table in the lobby with more information and sponsorship opportunities. Compassion will provide all materials needed for the presentation and the sponsorship table.
