Compassion President, Child Advocate Wess Stafford Named to National Religious Broadcasters Board
Dr. Wess Stafford, President and CEO of Compassion International and noted child advocate, has been elected to the board of directors of the National Religious Broadcasters. NRB is an international association of Christian communicators with more than 1,700 member organizations.
Stafford will serve a three-year term, guiding policy and direction of the association.
Compassion produces a one-minute daily radio program hosted by Stafford that is played on 570 radio outlets across the country. The program, Speak Up With Compassion ® features prayers of Compassion-assisted children from around the world and encourages listeners to speak up for and represent children in their communities.
Dr. Wess Stafford, who has a Master's degree in international broadcasting from Wheaton College, knows the power of broadcasting. He said, "That's why I am so honored to work with other leaders of Christian organizations at the NRB to support ministry over the airwaves."
