"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me."
John 17:20-21
Compassion-sponsored children have access to educational opportunities, medical care, nutritious food and knowledge of the love of Jesus. They have been so blessed that many of them pray for their sponsors every day. Yet the children need prayer, too.
The following are prayer requests from the Peru Country Office about the children, families, church partners and staff in Peru:
- Please pray for God’s provision as a fire has destroyed two classrooms in a Compassion center. Pray for the rebuilding to go smoothly and quickly.
- Please pray for parents who are looking for work so that they can support their children. Pray for God to open doors and to provide for these families.
- Please pray for the children as they attend the Compassion center. Pray for God to bring hope into their hearts and that they will experience joy and love in the midst of living in poverty.
- Please pray for the many children who are hurt while playing outside because they live in unsafe areas. Pray for the Lord's protection to be over them while they do play, and please pray for the little ones who have been hurt to receive full medical attention and healing.
