"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me."
John 17:20-21
Compassion-sponsored children have access to education, medical care, nutritious food and knowledge of the love of Jesus. They have been so blessed that many of them pray for their sponsors every day. Yet the children need prayer, too.
The following are prayer requests from the Nicaragua Country Office about the children, families, church partners and staff in Nicaragua.
- Please pray for continued strength for the Compassion staff and volunteers as they reach out to children in need. Pray for God to renew their minds daily and to to use them to show the children God's love.
- Please pray for the children and their families who were affected by the heavy rains earlier this year. Pray for God to restore what was lost.
- Please pray for children who are neglected by their parents. Pray the Lord will bring God-fearing men and women into the lives of these parents and that they will show them how to care for and love their children.
- Please pray for the Lord to strengthen the children and families who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. May God continue to deepen their faith in Him. Pray they will be used to bring hope to their communities through their testimonies.
