Prayer Requests for Mexico

"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me."
  John 17:20-21

Compassion-sponsored children have access to educational opportunities, medical care, nutritious food and knowledge of the love of Jesus. The children have been so blessed that many of them pray for their sponsors every day. Yet the children need prayers, too.

The following are prayer requests from the Mexico Country Office about the children, families, church partners and staff in Mexico:

• Please pray for the children and families affected by the oil pipeline explosion. Pray for the Lord to bring restoration and peace as families have been moved from their homes.
• Please pray for the many children and families who work in dangerous trash dumps to survive. Pray the Lord will open doors of employment for the caregivers and pray that this will enable the children to go to school.
• Please pray for the children who have lost both parents. Pray that God will bring good and loving caretakers into the lives of these orphans and that they will be comforted by the love of Jesus.
• Please pray specifically that the Lord will change the hearts of fathers so that they will come to love and value their children and understand the potential they hold for a better future.
