"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me."
John 17:20-21
Compassion-sponsored children have access to education, medical care, nutritious food and knowledge of the love of Jesus. They have been so blessed that many of them pray for their sponsors every day. Yet the children need prayer, too.
The following are prayer requests from the Guatemala Country Office about the children, families, church partners and staff in Guatemala:
- The presidential campaigns for Guatemala will begin this year. Pray for the Lord to grant a godly leader who will pursue social justice and work in righteousness on behalf of the people.
- Please pray for the children who are not receiving proper love and care at home. Pray that they may come to know the love of the Lord Jesus. Pray they will find abundant hope and provision as they follow Him. Pray that their lives would be a testimony to their parents.
- Pray for parents who are burdened with not being able to provide for their children. May they be blessed with the resources they need to raise healthy families.
- Pray for the medical needs of children living in poverty in Guatemala. May they come to rely on the Lord and know Him as Healer.
