How Compassion Helps
From an early age, Ezequiel knew he wanted to work with wood in some way. His father built furniture but Ezequiel was not interested in this aspect of carpentry.
He decided to take vocational training through his local Compassion program. Ezequiel studied woodcarving for two years, improving his skills daily. Then Ezequiels father invited him to join the family furniture business as a woodcarver.
Now, Ezequiel adds beautiful designs to his fathers furniture, and these designs bring in higher prices for each piece.
"I want to make a living with my carving, to one day have my own workshop in order to give my things to the Lord," he says.
