Welcome MOPS Moms!

Welcome MOPS Moms!

MOPS moms like you know that compassion can lead to world change. As a “Thank You!” for our 12-year partnership with MOPS, we are providing you with valuable resources and educational tools to help you join with us in releasing children from poverty throughout the developing world. Compassion starts with you!

Living Compassion Across the World

In addition to our very successful child sponsorship program, serving more than 1.3 million children in poverty throughout the developing world, we also operate the Child Survival Program. Each Child Survival Program center focuses on serving moms and their babies in their own communities, moms just like you who need some support during the pre-natal and post-natal phases of new motherhood.

MOPS groups and individual moms have the opportunity to donate to or raise funds for the Gahima Church Child Survival Program Center in Gahima, Rwanda.

The Gahima Church Child Survival Program is located in a dry, hilly area in southeastern Rwanda. The Child Survival Program provides mothers and their babies with life-changing benefits like:

  • supplemental food and clean water
  • health education (childhood illnesses, family planning, hygiene, etc.)
  • literacy and job skills training
  • Bibles and Bible teaching
  • education and literacy instruction for mothers
  • counseling and emotional support

When you give to the Gahima Church Child Survival Program, you offer families in Gahima a chance to thrive and give parents the tools to keep their families healthy. More importantly, you are showing the love of Jesus to people who desperately need it.

“When they cry out to me, I will hear, for I am compassionate.” — Exodus 22:27

I told my MOPS group about a time when my son spilled an entire box of Cheerios on the ground. I immediately just vacuumed them up, and in that moment I realized that had that accident happened somewhere else, dozens of children would have surrounded me and gladly eaten what I was throwing away, not because it was dirty or inedible, but just because I knew I had plenty more available.” — Dara, MOPS mom sharing Compassion bravely

“Then the LORD your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on you and gather you again from all the nations where he scattered you.” — Deuteronomy 30:3
