Since 1977 he has worked with Compassion International and has served as President since 1993. He is the author of Too Small To Ignore, and hosts a daily radio feature, Speak Up With Compassion ®.

Growing up as the son of Ivory Coast missionaries, Wess witnessed the effects of poverty at a young age.
